Harry Redknapp has urged Harry Kane to stay in Tottenham assuming the Spurs striker could join Manchester United this summer.
Tottenham fans must have feared the worst when Kane admitted he may have been forced to leave the club this weekend because he wanted to win trophies earlier than expected.
Although Kane scored 136 goals in the Premier League for Spurs and has become one of the best strikers in world football, he has yet to receive the trophy.
Former Tottenham boss Redknapp wants Kane to stay in North London, but admits he may have to reconsider his options in the summer.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Redknapp said… He’s a great professional, a great guy. He wants to play and he wants to win.
Last year I didn’t see what was going to happen in Tottenham. I saw them win the Premier League title last year.
I thought they were running: You have a great team. I almost liked [Mauricio].

But they collapsed with the terrible race they had and José [Mourinho] came in and could barely bring it down. They did fine without being great.
You need an operation in the summer, but right now, is anyone going to spend the next two years and make large wire transfers?
He will investigate it and think about what kind of player he will be for one of the best clubs. I don’t want him to go. I want to see what he’d look like in downtown Manchester City.

That would be a great signature for any club. He’s a great player and a great professional.
But please, God, he’s staying in Tottenham. But he certainly won’t stay if he doesn’t see them pressing for victory.
Kane, 26, has scored 181 goals in 278 appearances for Tottenham.
